John Stones has been at the interest of most clubs in Europe for the last 6-months but none of them have forked out enough money to sign the 22-year-old.

Manchester City had a £40m bid rejected by the Toffees and had seemingly pulled out of the race to sign him.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, City are ready to table to required bid of £50m to acquire the services of the young England international defender.
