Manchester City star considering Inter switch

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is edging closer towards a move to Inter as he grows increasingly unhappy with life in England.

The Ivory coast star was heavily linked with making a switch to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza during the summer, as reports suggested coach Roberto Mancini held Toure as his number one target, though talk slowly petered out as the midfielder committed his future to current club City.

It was well known that the pair held several conversations regarding a transfer and recent reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport now believe that Toure and Mancini have rekindled their desire to play with each other once more and have discussed a move yet again over the telephone.

The reports states that their calls may have been much more than simple holiday greetings and that Toure may now force an exit from the Citizens, with current Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola said to be on his way to the Etihad Stadium come the end of the season, a man whom Toure has openly spoke his distaste for after departing the Blaugrana while play under Guardiola in 2010.

To add to the speculation, Mancini even told Gazzetta TV that he already knew the midfielder’s future plans.

“If he leaves City, he will join Inter,” he said.

Whilst it remains to be seen whether Toure will in fact demand a transfer away from the club, it is unlikely that a move will transpire until the summer.
