Also Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium next season, but Guardiola is a well-known admirer of Kroos. Anyway, the Spaniard was in charge at Bayern Munich when the recently crowned European champion was sold to Real Madrid two years ago.
