Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns his back on ranting Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave Thomas Tuchel a masterclass in withering disdain as the Manchester United boss turned his back on a raving Chelsea manager.

Incensed by the behaviour of Man United players who surrounded referee Stuart Attwell claiming a penalty, Tuchel let rip at Solskjaer on the touchline during the VAR check that took place to re-examine the incident.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was tangling with Mason Greenwood in the Chelsea penalty area after Edouard Mendy parried a Marcus Rashford free-kick, when he appeared to handle the ball. Attwell was advised by the VAR to have another look at the incident once play stopped.

Attwell then duly went to the pitchside monitor to re-watch the action, at which point he was engulfed in a crowd of Man United players venting their feelings that Hudson-Odoi had committed a penalty offence.

It was at this behaviour that Tuchel lost his cool and began wildly berating both the United players and Solskjaer.

Far from responding in kind, as may have been expected from Sir Alex Ferguson or Jose Mourinho, Solskjaer demonstrated ice cold nerves and slowly turned his back on a still-ranting Tuchel.

For all his anger, Tuchel was the manager with less to complain about as Attwell reviewed the footage and still chose not to award a penalty to United.

Moreover, Chelsea players were also giving as good as their counterparts when it came remonstrating with Attwell.

For all the furore and shouting, it seems Solskjaer is the only person not losing his mind about VAR decisions at the moment.
