Manchester United confirm Christian Eriksen signing

Christian Eriksen is still determined to show that nothing is impossible, with the midfielder signing a three-year contract with Manchester United.

It was just over a year ago that the midfielder nearly lost his life after collapsing during Denmark's opening match at Euro 2020.

"I told my wife I'd retire, but also to not be surprised if I changed my mind," he once said.

The former Ajax and Tottenham man was fitted with a defibrillator (IED), meaning he could no longer play in Serie A. As a result, Eriksen and Inter mutually agreed to terminate his contract, opening the door for him to return to the Premier League.

That's exactly what Eriksen did, as he returned to the league, joining Brentford eight months later. A goal and four assists in 11 appearances showed he could still play at the top level, with Manchester United now happy to welcome him to Old Trafford.

"Manchester United is a special club, and I cannot wait to get started," said Eriksen. "I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times but to do it in the red shirt of United will be an amazing feeling.
