Ruben Amorim is reportedly a big admirer of Bournemouth and Ghana winger Antoine Semenyo, with Manchester United also showing growing interest in the player ahead of the summer transfer window, according to David Ornstein.
Semenyo, 25, has enjoyed a strong campaign under Andoni Iraola, scoring eight Premier League goals and providing four assists. His versatility has been key to Bournemouth’s success, with the Cherries sitting eighth in the table and pushing for European football.
While his attacking contributions stand out, Semenyo's defensive work rate is equally impressive. He ranks among the top wingers in Europe for blocks, aerial duels, and clearancesâattributes that reportedly appeal to Amorim, who demands intensity from his wide players.
According to Ornstein, United have opened talks with Bournemouth, but a deal won’t come cheap. The south coast club is expected to demand more than the £65 million received for Dominic Solanke, as Semenyo has no release clause.
With financial constraints looming at Old Trafford, United may need to offload players before making a formal approach, especially with interest also in Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, who has a £62.5 million clause.
