Manchester United have joined the race to sign young right back Tariq Lamptey from Brighton & Hove Albion according to The Hard Tackle.

The youngster has shown massive growth and improvement in his game since moving to Brighton from Chelsea last year.

Lamptey his had a hamstring injury prevented him from being a regular starter of the squad but he has proven his worth in the limited opportunities after his recovery.

He has made 6 appearances in the Premier League this term and has played one match in the Carabao Cup 3rd round against Swansea City.

The young talent has attracted interest from Man United recently.

However, the Red Devils would have to see off Arsenal to land the 21-year-old fullback.

Brighton acquired the England-born Ghanaian from Chelsea for €3.3 million in January 2020.

However, Brighton are aware of the growing interest around the starlet and are looking to cash in on him in a hefty profit.

It is believed that Graham Potter’s team can ask more than €50 million in the January transfer window for the former Chelsea academy player.

Lamptey was heavily linked with a move to German giants Bayern Munchen in the summer.
