Potential new Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho will look to lure Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro to England, should he replace Louis van Gaal for the start of next season.

It is no secret that Mourinho a fan of the 22-year-old after likening Sturaro’s playing style to that of Frank Lampard after reportedly attempting to take the former Genoa player to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2015.

England-based newspaper The Sun contacted Sturaro’s agent, Carlo Volpi who confirmed that the west London side were previously interested in the Italy international.

The Red Devils will have their hands full trying to convince him to leave Turin, with the Bianconeri believing that Sturaro is an integral part of their future.

The midfielder has amassed a total of 27 appearances for the Turin giants, while also scoring his first Champions League goal for Juve in their first leg tie against Bayern Munich to salvage a 2-2 draw.
