Manchester United to launch massive bid for Lazio winger

Premier League club Manchester United are preparing a staggering offer for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson as they look to add to their attack for the new year.

The Brazilian international has been on United’s radar for quite some time now and it is believed that the club will finally propose an offer to Lazio, who are only willing to part ways with their key player for a considerably high fee.

Sources from La Repubblica believe that the Red Devils are now in fact ready to meet Lazio’s demands as they prepare to launch a â‚¬45 million bid for the 22-year-old.

The report further states that United would prefer to sign their first choice, Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, although Los Blancos remain reluctant to sell the Colombian and view him as their future.

Subsequently, United have now turned to Anderson, whom they made an enquiry for in the summer, as they remain desperate for immediate reinforcements to their out-of-form squad.

Should the Biancocelesti accept the offer and a deal be completed, Anderson would register as one of the English side’s most expensive transfers, ranking above the likes of Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney.

Additionally, Lazio’s president, Claudio Lotito, would be likely to reinvest the money straight away, as the club look to rebuild on what has been a disappointing start to the season, having achieved only one victory between the end of October and December.
