South Africa-based defender Awal Mohammed touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on Sunday morning ahead of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations double qualifiers.
The Maritzburg United centre-back defender is making a return into the team after missing out on 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Awal has started this season with a bang in the South African Premier Soccer and is desperate to replicate such fine form at the national level.
“All I can say is that it feels good to be back to the to the team and hopefully I can help when called upon,†the former Kotoko defender told GHANASoccernet.com.
Awal was a member of the Ghana squad which played at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
