Patrice Evra has been banned from all UEFA games until 30 June 2018 and fined €10,000 for kicking his own supporter in the head during the Europa League clash against Vitoria SC.
Marseille have subsequently terminated Evra's contract.
A statement on the club's website reads: “By mutual agreement, Olympique de Marseille and Patrice Evra decided to end their collaboration. The player's contract is officially terminated with immediate effect.”
