Asante Kotoko striker Franck Mbella Etouga could leave the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season, with top European clubs showing strong interest.

According to reports, Marseille and Saint Etienne, both Ligue 1 clubs in France, as well as Turkish giants Fernabache, are said to have enquired about Etouga, who joined Kotoko from Cameroonian side Fortuna du Mfou in October last year.

German giants are also said to be monitoring Etouga, who is widely regarded as the best player in the local league.

Etouga joined Kotoko on a free transfer, but he is currently worth around €800,000 to the club.

The Porcupine Warriors are well aware that their striker is attracting attention. They will, however, speak with clubs that are only interested in meeting their offer.

The attacker has 16 goals for Asante Kotoko and is a strong contender for the top scorers’ award.

Etouga hopes to be called up to the Cameroonian national team for the upcoming qualifiers and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The 20-year-old scored the game's only goal, a coolly converted penalty, as Kotoko defeated sworn rivals Hearts of Oak last weekend to maintain an eight-point lead at the top of the league with ten games remaining.
