Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng says he is gradually winning the battle for full-fitness after a knee injury nearly blighted his season before the winter break.

The Schalke 04 ace seems to have overcome that recurring injury and this is major boost for the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup finals.

Boateng, who ended his two-year self-imposed exile from international football last June, played a cameo in Ghana’s qualification to Brazil.

He joined the German Bundesliga side on transfer deadline day last summer and frequented the treatment.

The 26-year-old worked with a knee specialist during Schalke’s mid-season training tour of Doha, Qatar early this month.

“I feel very good and see myself at 99 percent. The missing percentage is yet to come” the former AC Milan player told German reporters.

“Some things went well, much less I am firmly convinced that we will arrive in Brazil 100 percent in body and in soul.”
