Match-fixing scandal: Cancel 2020/21 season, it was not competitive- Techiman City President
Techiman City President Charles Kwadwo Ntim

Outspoken Ghanaian football administrator, Charles Kwadwo Ntim popularly known  as Micky Charles says the integrity of the  2020/21 Ghana Premier League season has been tainted by the match fixing scandal and must be truncated.

According to him, the AshantiGold-Inter Allies game is just one of the numerous games that were fixed this season.

“I even asked the FA to declare this season as null and void season because there is nothing competitive about the league.

“There is nothing competitive about the league we just played. I know some people will argue with me that it is not true but from where I sit I don’t see the competitiveness of the league”, Mickey Charles said on Happy FM.

He urged the Government to intervene in the match-fixing scandal to hit Ghana football and prosecute those involved.

“Nobody condones issues of match fixing. So the government must step in and make BNI and national security investigate because you will get plenty links. There are things staked on phones. You can intercept their whatsapp messages, you can intercept their phone logs, you can even intercept through the betting companies. You will get leads. So the government should intervene”.
