Match Preview: Ebusua Dwarfs vs Berekum Chelsea- Crabs set to start season with a bang
Ebusua Dwarfs

Ebusua Dwarfs will be hosting Berekum Chelsea in their first premiership game of the season at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday.

The Mysterious Club will come into the weekend's game keen to reverse a poor run of form in the off season by starting this campaign with a victory over the Blues.

The Crabs chalked their best position in the premiership last season since 1999. Ebusua Dwarfs finished 4th on the league table.

They aim at replicating same feat this season even though the odds are against them following their abysmal pre-season.

Two times Ghana Premier League winning gaffer Bashiru Hayford has been hired to replace the departed Brazilian tactician Ricardo Da Rocha who parted ways with the club mutually.

Paul Abakah Nkrumah, Joseph Dabitora, Albert Gaisie and Simon Martey are all set to make their debuts if selected on Sunday.

Stalwart defender Kingsley Nteng is out with a long term injury.

It won’t be easy for the travelling Berekum Chelsea, whose only best results at Ebusua Dwarfs in the league is a draw. They were 1-0 losers last campaign.

The Blues finished at the 8th position in the premier league last season. They look to improve on that this season.

They will have to achieve this without their star performers last term.

2017 WAFU Cup of Nations top scorer Stephen Sarfo, Alfred Nii Quaye and experienced shot stopper John Moosie have all left the club.

Ghana U17 star Edmund Arko Mensah, Kwame Amoako Antwi, goalie Yusif Moro and Huzaf Ali have joined the club and could be making their debuts on Sunday.

Collins Ameyaw has also rejoined his former side on a season long loan from Asan. He could play a part in the weekend's fixture if selected on Sunday.

Serbian tactician Svestislav Tanasijevic is the new head coach of the Blues.
