Aduana Stars compounded Hearts of Oak's miseries by beating them 1-0 at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The 21-time Ghanaian Premier League title winners have now dropped into the relegation zone and must fight to stay to come up.

Forward Richard Arhin claimed the maximum points for Kwabena Ameyaw's men who came under immense pressure from home fans to beat the poor-looking Phobians.

Hearts played their first league game after sacking head coach Herbert Addo and installing former Ghana keeper Edward Ansah in an interim role.

Since his departure, the club has not won a game yet as they have suffered defeats against Ebusua Dwarfs and Medeama SC in other competitions.

Aduana dominated the game from the start to finish though Hearts occasionally came into the game. However, their impact was contained by a strong Aduana defence.

Winger Eric Kumi had his shot tipped over the cross by goalkeeper Stephen Adams who was replaced during the course of the game.

Isaac Oduro created a neat chance to score but was denied to defender Emmanuel Akuoko.

With Berekum Chelsea winning massively in Kumasi, Aduana will remain third with 35 points, a point shy of second-placed Blues.
