Aduana Stars ended their four-match winless run in all competitions on Thursday when they beat Liberty Professionals 3-2 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Thursday in an outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture.

Coach Yusif Abubakar handed a debut to Congolese forward Oba Ikama Ulitch and a maiden start to Gockel Ahortor.

With the Fire Boys dominating the early minutes of the game, Bright Agyei gave them the lead after connecting a pass from Congolese international Oba Ikama Ulitch.

The Congolese winger got himself on the score sheet afterwards with a fine finish to double Aduana Stars' lead.

Lanky midfielder Simon Zibo reduced Liberty Professionals' deficit few minutes to recess.

Some minutes into the second half, Yahaya Mohammed registered his fourth goal of the season to make it 3-1 to the home side.

The Scientific Soccer Lads got themselves back into the game after Brite Andoh scored a worldie to reduce the deficit for the second time.

The victory gives Aduana Stars some confidence ahead of their second group game in the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.
