Ebusua Dwarfs recorded an emphatic 3-1 victory over International Allies in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
For Allies it was another highlight of their poor travels while J E Sarpong's Dwarfs relieved their fans with a commanding and eye-catching display.
Striker Nicholas Gyan scored an opportunistic opener for the Mysterious Men in the 6th minute to register Dwarfs's second goal in the Ghanaian top-flight after 632 minutes.
Samuel Quayson scored a brilliant free-kick to cushion Dwarfs's lead in the 21st minute but Gockel Ahortor steered a marvelous free-kick to halved the deficit for the visitors on 26 minutes.
The strike was Ahortor's second goal in row and both are from spectacular free-kicks.
Bright Luqman came off the bench to restore Dwarfs's two-goal margin with a flourishing chip over Kwame Baah in the 53rd minute.
Herbert Addo kept faith in goalkeeper Kwame Baah after a turbulent moment of bribery allegation from technical head Willie Klutse.
Winger Evans Mensah also started the game for the Eleven Is To One alongside Gockel Ahortor and Frederick Boateng who scored the goals in the home reverse against leaders Hearts of Oak. The 18-year-old was named in the Ghana squad for the 2017 AFCON qualifier.
J E Sarpong benched Bright Luqman but former Hearts of Oak attacker Romeo Agban, Samuel Quayson, Nicholas Gyan and captain Stephen Aidoo all started the game.
Dwarfs mounted early pressure on the visitors and the early bombardment of the Allies goal area yielded results.
Goalkeeper Kwame Baah spilled Romeo Agban's tricky shot and Nicolas Gyan moved swiftly to head the ball past the on-rushing custodian for the opening goal on the 6th minute.
Allies tried an immediate revival with Ropapa Mensah leading the charge but Dwarfs defence steadily.
Evans Mensah dazzled in midfield and was fouled couple of times but his attempts were just limited to the middle as he was not allowed to traverse the hosts attacking third.
Dwarfs's game plan was working to perfection and increased the tally on 23 minutes when Samuel Quayson scored from a classy world class finish from a 25 yards free-kick.
Allies did not look like they had given up though head coach Herbert Addo looked displeased from the touchline. Ropapa Mensah who dominated the 12,000 fans on attendance at the Robert Mensah Stadium produced some exciting chicanery and artful display, switching positions between wings.
A handful of fans wearing customized ROPAPA MENSAH shirts and banners demonstrated support for the nimble-footed attacker.
Gockel Ahortor bent home a world class free-kick to score his second goal in two games from set-piece.
But Striker Bright Luqman who scored 30 goals in Dwarfs's promotion campaign came off the bench in the second-half to score a lovely chip to restore Dwarfs's two-goal margin.
