Match Report: Great Olympics 0-1 Inter Allies

Published on: 08 March 2015

Inter Allies recorded their first away victory of the season after beating Great Olympics 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in a regional derby on Sunday afternoon.

Young striker Sherrif Doe Mohammed struck mid-way through the first-half and the Wonder Club were unable to claw back into the game before it petered out.

Oly went into the game on back of their resounding 3-0 thrashing of Asante Kotoko in the Independence Day Cup but were left to settle for a loss against the Tema-based side.

During mid-week, they paraded three former Ghana internationals including Dan Quaye, Richard Kingson and Godwin Attram.

But none of the trio was on the team-sheet as they slumped to defeat. Francis Attuquaye who has hit top form in the league this season had chances to snatch a point for Oly but he blew his chances and fluffed his lines.

The results means Oly remain in the relegation zone while Allies - the victors, will push further up the top four.
