Inter Allies shared the spoils with AshantiGold in Tema

Premier League leaders AshantiGold stole a point from Tema after holding Inter Allies to a 1-1 stalemate at the Tema Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Bernard Morrison had poked home the opener for the Miners but substitute Fuseini Eliasu levelled for Eleven Is to One at their own backyard.

AshantiGold head coach Bashir Hayford had spoken of the importance of the game to his side they looked to further tighten their grip on the top spot but their hopes of winning against Allies suffered a setback.

Allies, pushing for their own fate in their top-four ambitions pressed a priceless win but the quality and cohesiveness of the Miners squad split the points over determined.

Yakubu Mohammed’s brimming energy and power play allowed Morrison the freedom to ball around with his trickery and skill, scoring the opener before Eliasu.
