Match Report: Liberty condemn BA United thanks to Kennedy Ashia double
Kennedy Ashia

Former Ghana U20 star Kennedy Ashia netted a double to help Liberty Professionals cruise to a 2-0 win over B A United at the Karl Reindorf Park in Dansoman.

The Scientific Soccer Lads had tasted defeat on the opening day and were seeking to open a happy page with a win over Soccer Apostles.

Though United offered little attacking threats, but their defence appeared hard to be breached by Liberty.

But the experience of Ashia combined with his predatory instincts ensured he scored in either halves to secure victory for Liberty.

The opening goal came against the run of play - United had gone goal-searching, pursuing their agenda with such appetite they lowered their guards.

When the ball fell to Ashia, he raced straight clear and coolly beat the keep with an angled finish.

United had hopes of levelling the scoring but Ashia scored again to dash their hopes.
