Liberty Professionals kept their season on track with a slender 1-0 win over Techiman City FC at the Karl Reindorf Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The exciting Latif Blessing registered his second goal of the season with a diamond-gilded header from a Tamimu Muntari cross in the 69th minute.

Liberty's improved form saw them hold All Stars in Wa and went into the game search all three points while City had to do without safest pair of hands - Razak Iddrisu who had injury issues.

City defended gallantly but when Liberty managed to breach their defence goalkeeper Frank Kodie rose up to the challenge to save the game open.

In the 41st minute former Aduana Stars striker Daniel Kodie attempted to steer an Ebo Mends cross from the right but the agile custodian deflected his ball to corner.

Issaka Ibrahim remained a force to reckon with for the hosts defence but Baba Mahama was held at bay.

While City tried heavens to force Liberty to adjust to their game plan, the Scientific Soccer Lads emerged with a goal in the 69th minute.

The experienced Tamimu Muntari weighed in a cross from the right and Latif Blessing rose above his markers to steer a cross into Frank Kodie's net.

City tried to make late incursions but they failed to traverse the defence of Liberty who jealously guarded their lead.
