Match Report: New Edubiase Utd 1-1 WAFA

Published on: 13 August 2016

New Edubiase United shared the spoils with West African Football Academy after playing out a 1-1 stalemate at the Gyamfi's Park in Bekwai.

New Edubiase opened the scoring through Nasir Lamine midway through the first-half but Togolese forward Komlan Agbengniadan levelled the scoring for the Sogakope-based side.

Edubiase went into the game knowing their survival was hanging in the balance.

Lamine's goal provided the perfect tonic for the Movers when they went ahead on home grounds.

WAFA's demolition of Hearts of Oak meant Edubiase had more to do.

While the hosts appeared dominant, in-form Togolese Agbengniadan struck the back of the net to register his third goal in two games for WAFA.
