Match Report: Tema Youth 1-2 Ebusua Dwarfs- Harbour Boys impressive run truncated by spirited Crabs

Ebusua Dwarfs showed grit to record a hard fought 2-1 victory over Tema Youth in week 21 of the Ghana Premier League at the Tema Sports Stadium on Saturday. 

Premier league leading scorer Nicholas Gyan opened the scoring for Dwarfs with just two minutes on the clock after Tema Youth defenders failed to deal with a corner kick, which kindly fell at the feet of the lurking poacher.

Than turned provider with a beautiful through ball to Joseph Esso in the 24th minute, who made no mistake to slot it past the hapless Stephen Kweku.

The Harbour Boys got a consolation in the 52nd minute after Michael Kpovie threaded a through ball to midfielder Tawfik Mohammed.

The game became a ding-dong affair from there on and it was the home side who pressed for the equaliser in the dying embers but the away side defense stood resolute and curbed their attacking threat.

The win takes Dwarfs to 5th on the standings with 30 points while Tema Youth remain 11th with 25 points.
