WAFA hammered Hasaacas

Ghana winger Samuel Tetteh became the first player to score a hat-trick in the 2016 Ghana Premier League season as WAFA condemn a disappointing Sekondi Hasaacas to a 5-0 defeat at the Sogakope Park on Sunday.

The winger prospered on an afternoon when WAFA were totally dominant and superior to Hasmal, raiding their defence with goals.

Charles Boateng registered his second goal of the campaign for the exciting youngsters who hogged possession in their favour.

The 19-year-old, who became the first player to score in the 2016 season, netted from a well-rehearsed play to pin down a hopeful Hasmal side.

Fans of the Sekondi-based side travelled further South to the Volta Region but had nothing to cheer about except grieving their heavy defeat.

The first half had ended with a narrow defeat but John Killa's men returned from the break to take total control and reduce their prey to mere playing pads.

Gideon Waja topped it up for WAFA to ease the pressure and upped the ante of exciting from Volta fans who have swapped their support from relegation Heart of Lions to the Academy Boys.

As if the torture was not enough for Hasmal, after dragging their prey through restless crusade in tormenting football display, Samuel Tetteh added his name to the score-sheet.

The 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup Ghana winger who is capped once at senior level artfully waltzed his way through with an thrilling chicanery before producing some small howitzer into Geroge Owu's net.

It did not take long before the former Malmo FF triallist registered his second goal of the afternoon.

But it was not done for WAFA and the suffering was not yet over for Hasaacas as Samuel Tetteh became the first player to net a hat-trick on the top-flight this season.
