Berekum Chelsea recorded a 2-0 win over Legon Cities in match day 14  of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League at the Coronation Park on Wednesday. 

The game started with a lot of intensity from the two sides with the home side threatening the goal area of Legon Cities.

Berekum Chelsea were appealing for a penalty in the 15th minute as Richard Kissi Boateng collided with the Legon Cities goalkeeper Komla but referee ignored the calls and waved on for a corner kick.

Chelsea pushed for the first goal in the game but Legon Cities were resolute in the defense and prevented the home team from scoring after the numerous attacks.

Berekum Chelsea finally broke the deadlock in the 48th minute through Kofi Owusu.

Chelsea were awarded a penalty in the 61st minute as Stephen Ayiku brought down his marker.

Stephen Amankonah scored from the penalty spot to hand Berekum Chelsea the second goal of the game.

Legon Cities goalkeeper Komla came up with a save to deny Berekum Chelsea the third goal of the game in the 75th minute.

Chelsea prevented Legon Cities from getting an equalizer as the game ended 2-0 in favor of the home side.
