Legon Cities started their 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League campaign with a draw as they were held at home by Berekum Chelsea.

They played out a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports stadium on Saturday with both goals coming from the spot.

Chelsea trainer Hesse Odamtten named returnees Edward Kpodo and Stephen Kpodo in his starting lineup.

Hamza Gonji and Henry Ansu also had their Chelsea debuts on Saturday.

The visitors got their noses in front when captain Stephen Amankonah stepped up to convert a penalty in the 22nd minute.

Cities drew level in the 34th minute through Attuquaye's spot kick to score against his former side after Augustine Henneh committed a foul by bringing down Baba Mahama inside the box.

The two teams pushed for a match winner in the second half of the encounter but all attempts proved futile.
