WAFA return to their fortress in Sogakope on Saturday seeking to bounce back after two consecutive defeats on the road.

The Academy Boys host AshantiGold but their past results ( 3-0 at Dreams FC and the 1-0 reverse at Aduana Stars) might have dampened their spirits.

But on a field they are very comfortable dominating opponents with their combinations and athleticism, you can never write them off.

WAFA have lost three first team players to the transfer market and that is major concern and worry for the bench and followers.

First, lead striker Daniel Agbloe was transferred to Algerian side ES Setif  and the player thought to be his replacement Daniel Owusu has been sold to Red Bull Salzburg.

Midfielder Forson Amankwah also joined the Austrian giants by penning a four-and-a-half year contract.

AshantiGold have their issues and losing 1-0 at home to Liberty Professionals on Sunday is not a good sign.

Assistant coach Thomas Duah took temporary charge with head coach Milovan Cirkovic indisposed and things went bad.

Last season, the Miners collapsed and suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat at the same venue but times have changed.

The absence of key man Appiah McCarthy has not helped matters either.
