Defender Frank Akoto opened the scoring in the 27th minute from a spot kick following a handball incident.
Yaw Annor doubled the lead three minutes from close range.
Abagna increased the advantage in the 64th minute after heading home a sweet cross from substitute Jacob Asiedu Apau.
Abagna scored again on the stroke of full-time as he beautifully curled in a pass from Akoto to seal the win for the Miners.
The win has taken AshantiGold to the 6th place on the premiership standings from the 10th position.
