2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 23 Match Preview - WAFA vs Great Olympics
WAFA

WAFA are chasing their first third consecutive win of the season when they host Great Olympics on Friday afternoon in Sogakope.

The Academy Boys are buzzing at the moment after a staging a strong fight back to nick a 3-2 win at Berekum Chelsea last week.

They had to do it the hard way after recovering from a goal conceded in the opening minutes.

WAFA have been toughened by the mid-season signings with Abdul Basit Issah-on two goals and two Man of the Match awards- and Justus Torsutsey

Goalkeeper Osei Bonsu has been a dependable pair of hands for the Sogakope-based side.

In the second round, Prosper Narteh Ogum and his boys have won all their games at home and with the reverse fixture at the back of their minds, they will put shoulders to the wheel  preserve that record.

Still they have some issues in the treatment room to contend with.

Striker Eric Asamany is yet to regain full fitness and left John Tedeku is still not ready for competitive matches.

Olympics lie in third place on the table but have been unconvincing lately with just one win in their last four matches.

The Wonder Boys are running out of team.

Annor Walker and his boys face a tricky trip to Sogakope against a side who are ruthless on their home turf.

The 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals at home last week should be the turning point. This was a match that saw Rodney, the son of ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, make his club and league debut.
