Dreams FC defeat King Faisal 3-0 at Dawu

A masterclass second half performance saw Dreams FC put three goals past relegation-threatened King Faisal FC in Week 24 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

Dreams FC lit up the Dawu Theatre of Dreams Park with some sumptuous display as they bombarded the goal area of King Faisal.

Dreams FC were aggressive in their approach and rescued several possession from the visitors.

King Faisal were dealt a huge blow in the 20th minute after key midfielder Gabo Mohammed went off with an injury.

Coach Kasim Gokyildiz replaced Mohammed with Mutawakilu Fuseini.

Dreams FC however failed to capitalize on the midfielder’s absence. The hosts did not create enough chances to break the deadlock.

Both teams did not do enough to go ahead before referee Philip Atta Forson brought the first half to a close.

Dreams FC returned from recess with the same determination but had to wait until the 62nd minute to go ahead.

Abednego Asafo was left unmarked at far end of the post — tapping into an empty net.

The Still Believe Boys continued to press their opponents and deservedly extended their lead through Mohammed Sadat after the substitute  connected superbly with Sylvester Simba’s pass in the 85th minute.

Emmanuel Ocran wrapped up the victory for the hosts with a close range goal two minutes later.

The win has pushed Dreams FC to 6th on the log with 37 points while King Faisal continue to wallow in the relegation doldrums with just 23 points from 24 games.
