Match Summary – Hearts of Oak 1-0 Inter Allies:

Inter Allies FC succumbed to a narrow defeat to Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday – match day 20 fixture.

Paul Abanga’s own goal in the 26th minute earned the Phobians the maximum points and our first defeat in the second after a fantastic performance.

Alex Aso replaced Kingsley Fidelis Kuku in the starting line up as the only change from previous game against Karela United last week in Dawu.

The home team gave us a very hostile reception with series of attacks in the early minutes of the game, unsettling us to sit deep.

However, Richmond Lamptey and Samuel Armah went close to the opener but both players failed to utilize their chances.

On the 26th minute, Paul Abanga turned a cross from the left side into his own net to give the hosts the lead in an awkward way.

We gatheerd ourselves and pushsed for the equaliser but we couldn’t find the back of the net at half time.

The lads were more purposeful in the second half, asking questions from all angles but the real chance came with 10 minutes to full time.

Andy Okpe raced past the Hearts defence just to head Fard Ibrahim’s free-kick into the side net.

Hearts stopped us from scoring at death and carried all the points at stake, Richmond Lamptey was named the NASCO Man of the match.
