Maxwell Konadu has expressed his delight to rejoin Asante Kotoko SC as head coach.

Konadu is making a return to the Ghanaian giants for a second stint after he guided them to a league glory in the 2011/2012 season.

The former Black Stars assistant coach was announced new coach of the Porcupine Warriors on Monday as he replaces Kjetil Zachariassen.

Zachariassen was sacked for poor performance following the club's exit in the CAF Confederation Cup about a month ago.

"I am back and I can say that I am very delighted with the development." Konadu said.

"I thank the management and the supporters for the confidence shown in me."

However, the 47-year-old called for the patience of the fans as he tries to improve the club.

"I will do my best but will ask the supporters to exercise patience as we are trying to improve the team."

Konadu has been tasked to win the Ghana Premier League and take the club back to the CAF Champions League.
