Local Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu insists defeating Nigeria at the CHAN does little to Stephen Keshi's reputation as Africa's best coach.

Ghana defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria 4-1 on penalties, in the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship on Wednesday, to progress into the finals of the competition.

Konadu said that the loss has done nothing to taint Keshi’s reputation.

“We know how African football is and I had said that he (Keshi) is the kind of man we need in African football. We all follow his steps and we are all learning from him as well.

“This is just but one match, I do not think, the outcome has changed his status.”

Keshi was named the continent’s best coach, at the Glo/CAF Awards this month.
