Maxwell Konadu: Legon Cities appoint former Kotoko coach to strengthen technical team

Published on: 04 July 2021

Legon Cities have brought in Maxwell Konadu to beef up their technical team with two games to end the Ghana Premier League season.

The appointment of the former Black Stars assistant coach was confirmed on Sunday night.

Konadu and his senior Bashir Hayford will work together to ensure the team maintain their premiership status.

Currently, Legon Cities, who spent a lot of money in signing new players including Asamoah Gyan, whose transfer reportedly cost them one million dollars, are two points above the relegation zone.

But with Konadu and Bashir, two managers who both won the Ghana Premier League wih Asante Kotoko, the club management and sympathizers can be confident of Premier League football next season.

Konadu has been unattached since he was sacked by Asante Kotoko earlier in the season for poor results.

Ghanasoccernet.com understands, Bashir Hayford will depart the club at the end of the season for Maxwell Konadu to have total control.
