Ghana’s CHAN semi-final hero Asiedu Attobrah has revealed his coach told him was going to score the match winner against Nigeria on Wednesday.

The New Edubiase United midfielder converted Ghana’s fourth spot-kick which secured a 4-1 penalty shoot-out victory over the Super Eagles to reach the final.

“As for me I will thank the coach he told me I was going to be the one to send Ghana into the final of the competition,” Attobrah told Accra-based Happy FM.

Attobrah’s performance at the tournament has not met expectations but was handed a starting role against Nigeria.

Ghana will face Libya in Cape Town on Saturday for the 2014 African Nations Championship.
