Medeama Sporting Club head coach Ibrahim Tanko has praised the impact of extensive training on his team's impressive 3-1 win over Bechem United.
Tanko, who recently took the reins, believes that the extra training sessions during the Ghana Premier League's break were instrumental in Medeama's success.
"We had time to train for a week, so I think it's part of the reason why we had a very good game today."
The Mauve and Yellow's win marked their return to action after the league's suspension due to the tragic death of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Yaw "Pooley" Frimpong.
The break gave Tanko the opportunity to work closely with his players, and it paid off with a convincing victory.
Medeama will look to build on this momentum as they face Nations FC and Samartex in their upcoming away games on March 16 and 18, respectively.
With their newfound confidence and cohesion, the team is poised to make a strong push in the Ghana Premier League.
