Medeama vice-president Albert Commey has rubbished allegations of assault against Aduana Stars chief George Gyawu.
Gyawu claimed on Accra-based radio station Happy FM on Easter Monday that he was subjected to physical assault by irate fans of the home side.
He claimed the intimidating atmosphere coupled with bias officiating from centre referee Samuel Sukah accounted for their 3-1 defeat.
But Medeama chief Albert Commey has dismissed the allegations and insists they are well wide off the mark.
“I think it’s the figment of George Gyawu's imagination  to claim that some of our fans attacked him during the match,†Commey said
“Nothing of that sort happened and I’m surprised he will be jumping on radio stations to make such baseless allegations.
“Ask him what he has done that will anger our supporters to attack him? He is lying through his teeth and it’s unfortunate.
“We’ll go to Dorma and there is nothing he can do. We work with laws. We’re not in a jungle where everybody can do whatever they like.
“I will encourage him to report us to the FA as he has suggested. Those there are human beings and we’ll be there to defend ourselves.
“We were better and deserved to win. It’s better for them to accept defeat in good faith and stop making such baseless and useless allegations.â€
Medeama have open a three-point lead at the summit of the table.
