Medeama coach Hayford holds first training session on return

Medeama head coach Bashir Hayford returned to training on Tuesday after the expiration of his leave period.

The master tactician announced himself to the playing body after assistant Yusif Abubakar supervised the recovery training session after the team's shock 1-0 defeat at Bechem United on Sunday.

Hayford wants help with the support from his assistant Yusif Abubakar guide the club to winning ways after suffering four defeats this season.

"He still had the desire to coach like he did like a month ago," the club's spokesperson Ebenezer Aidoo said.

"He wants to get the club back on track and that is crucial. He has the support of his assistant Yusif Abubakar who played a key role in helping the club stay afloat."

The Mauves and Yellows host Heart of Lions on Sunday.

The club lie in ninth place and are drifting away from the season's target.
