Medeama coach Bashir Hayford was a relieved man after seeing his side record a narrow 1-0 win over Ashantigold.
Defender Otuo Acheampong scored the only goal of the match after just two minutes from a glancing header.
Coach Hayford came under intense pressure from the clubââ¬â¢s teeming supporters following recent unimpressive performances.
But after seeing his side beat the miners at their own backyard, the ex-Asante Kotoko trainer claims he has been vindicated.
ââ¬ÅI have said that we need to remain patience. I know the quality of the players that we have,â⬠Hayford said
ââ¬ÅBut in a season, you donââ¬â¢t expect to have an easy ride right from start to finish, you may encounter difficulty on the way.
ââ¬ÅThatââ¬â¢s why I kept saying we should be patient and thankfully we managed to win at a very difficult place.
ââ¬ÅI feel vindicated and will hope that weââ¬â¢ll continue from here.ââ¬
Medeama will host Heart of Lions at home on Sunday December 2.
