Medeama coach unfazed over title miss

Medeama SC boss Bashir Hayford claims he has no regrets over his sides' inability to win the GHALCA pre-season tournament. Â

The Tarkwa-based side were beaten 1-0 by Premier League champions Berekum Chelsea in the final of the G8 Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Medeama spent mega-bucks to bring in five new players in the off-season but have more work to do if they are to win titles.

Hayford remains adamant about their chances and insists his side were just unlucky in Sunday's final.

"This is the same players that won most of our matches in the competition and so there is o issue of regret in that regard," Hayford told MTNFootball.com.

"We played extremely well and I think our strikers just couldn't find their goal scoring feet.

"We get back to training and look at the bigger picture of the winning the Premier League next season."
