Medeama took a giant leap on the league table after beating Liberty Professionals 3-0 on Wednesday in their penultimate delayed fixture.

The win, which halts their slide after two-successive defeats lifts them out of the relegation zone with one game in hand on their rivals as the competition nears the final stages.

Victor Ayirey's opener after 32 minutes at the T&A Park set the tone for the victory Medeama went into the break with their tales up.

Four minutes into the start of the second half, Malik Akowuah doubled their lead from the spot before Hans Kwofie wrapped up the game when he made it three-nil after 75 minutes.

Liberty are now just two points above the drop with three more matches to go.

The result changes the positions on the log as Medeama move four places up to 8th while Aduana Stars slip into relegation.
