Medeama deny David Duncan talks

Medeama have denied holding talks with former national under-23 coach David Duncan over a coaching job at the club.

Reports in the local media on Wednesday claimed talks between Duncan and the club are far advanced for him to take over as head coach next season.

A statement by Chief Executive James Essilfie on the club's website read: ''We have a three contract with head coach Bashir Hayford and we want to respect that. We are yet to review the work of the technical team."

“Medeama finished a respectable fourth in the just ended campaign and that meets our expectations. We have at no point held talks with David Duncan over a coaching position at the club.

“Very soon, our pre-season will begin and reports like these will only destabilize the team for next season."
