Medeama hails former star Kasim Nuhu for making Hoffenheim switch

Medeama have hailed Kasim Nuhu's move to German side Hoffenheim, saying the rise of the powerful defender is 'just starting'.

The 22-year-old completed a five-year deal to the German side from Swiss outfit Young Boys on Wednesday.

Nuhu enjoyed a fabolous four-year spell in Tarkwa where he featured prominently for the two-time Ghana FA Cup winners.

And the club has taken to their official twitter handle to wish the towering centre-back well.

 

The Mauve and Yellows will be smiling to the bank as they will receive 5% of the transfer fee of the defender for solidarity compensation. 

Nuhu, who played for Ghanaian top-flight side Medeama,  joined the German outfit for a whopping transfer fee of  â‚¬8 million.

The German side will pay an additional â‚¬2 million depending on the number of appearances the powerful defender makes in his first season with Hoffenheim.

The Ghanaian arrived in Germany on Tuesday to complete formalities before ssealing the deal that would see him play in the UEFA Champions League

Nuhu has been forcing his club to allow him to make the move to Germany after their initial reluctance as they see the centre-back as key to their Champions League plans for next season.
