Medeama nail Aduana for third straight home win

Medeama made it three wins in a row at home with a solitary 1-0 success over Aduana Stars on Saturday.

It was a 77th minute delivery from enterprising winger Theophilus Anobaah which secured the win for the Mauve and Yellows at the T&A Park.

Head coach Augustine Adotey is now unbeaten in three four league matches and has preserved the club's fifth position on the log sheet.

The Ghana U17 girls team coach made one changeto the side which earned a 1-1 draw at Ebusua Dwarfs last week.

After dictating the pace of the game in the first half, it was only befitting that the Tarkwa-based side profited from their hard work.

Midfielder Victor Ayirey was denied by goalkeeper Razak Issah on two occasions by parrying away hisfree-kicks.

But the sturdy defending from Aduana could not earn them a point as lose marking at the right side of defence cost them.

Tormentor Kwabene Boahene was released on the right by substitute Akwei Polo and the winger dinged in a cross which was missed by Kennedy Asamoha Boateng but Anobaah sneaked in to connect in.

Aduana right- back Eric Nyarko left his area and the visitors got punished and that was their third straight defeat since JE Sarpong resigned.
