Medeama plan home venue switch

The Ghana Football Association is considering a proposal from Medeama SC to revert to the Tarkwa T&A Park for the remainder of their home league matches, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The country's leading sports field experts Green Grass Technology have finally completed works on the pitch.

They are expected to hand over the facility to the owners, Tarkwa Municipal Assembly, on 7 March.

Green Grass Technology, with the credibility of providing first class pitches in the country since 2008, was two months behind schedule.

Headline sponsors of the Mauves and Yellows, Goldfields Ghana Limited paid the full cost of re-grassing which amounted to US$ 150,000.

Officials of Medeama have quickly applied to the Ghana Federation for a change of venue after struggling at their adopted Essipong stadium-where they have managed seven wins and two defeats.

The Premier League Board stated at the beginning of the season they were not going to allow teams to switch venues in the course of the league.
