Turkish club Mersin Idmanyurdu have finally made part-payment to NAC Breda for the transfer of Ghana striker Mathew Amoah in 2011.

The 31-year-old moved for a transfer fee of 450,000 Euros and both parties agreed that the amount will be paid in nine installments of 50,000 Euros.

Mersin however defaulted at times of payment, prompting a Fifa action by the Dutch club to redeem their money to help ease their club debt of 7.1 m Euros.

However officials NAC have now confirmed receiving some amount of the transfer money from the Turkish club a year on after the actual transaction took place.

The mount paid was not disclosed but it is clear Mersin will take some more time to offset their debt.

Amoah who played only five times for the Red Devils in the Turkish Super Lig have since returned to the Dutch league but now with Heerenveen.
