It seems that Michael Essien‘s adventure with Panathinaikos is about to come to its end. According to the Greek press, the Ghanaian midfielder could join an Azerbaijani club called Qarabag.

Michael Essien didn’t succeed to make a convincing performance with Panathinaikos. His contract will expire in 2017 but the Black Star could leave the club before this date.

Michael Essien only made 12 appearances in Greece. He previously played with Bastia (2000-2003), Lyon (2003-2005), Chelsea (2005-2014), Real Madrid (2012-2013) and AC Milan (2014-2015)
