Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has predicted it would be difficult to hold on to his in-form winger Albert Adomah after the world cup as the clubs would find him too attractive to resist.
The Ghana winger has left Karanka in awe after some impressive displays throughout the season.
Adomah has banged in 12 goals this season and assist 8 meaning he becomes the second most influential midfielder in a season behind Steward Downing who scored 17 goals at the river side in a single season.
Karanka fears once Adomah announces himself on the world cup stage it would be difficult to hold on to him.
“Albert is an incredible chap with an extra-ordinary eye to pop up with goals,† Karanka said.
“I have been privileged to work some gifted players in my short stint as a coach and he is certainly one who have impressed.
“A real team player who goes about his work in a simple way.â€
Adomah made his international debut when coming on as a substitute for The Black Stars in their 1–0 defeat against Brazil on 5 September 2011 at Craven Cottage.
