Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo says he cannot guarantee his future at the club next season.
The 26-year-old, nicknamed ‘Gaddafi’ has emerged as a target of some European clubs following his startling performances for the Kumasi-based side last term.
He played a key role as the Porcupine Warriors clinched a historic 21st League title and is seen as one of the chief architects to spearhead the club’s surge in the African Champions League.
But the ex-Feyerenord box-to-box enforcer says he will seek a move away from the club if he lands a foreign deal.
“Every player’s dream is to play his football in Europe and looking at my age, it will not be wrong if I decide to move to Europe,†Akuffo told Kumasi-based Kapital Radio
“I cannot guarantee that my future will be at Kotoko next season.
“Once I get the right offer that is good for me and the club, I will leave.
“If not, I will stay and help them defend the League and make an impact in Africa,â€
